“The issue of homelessness hits me emotionally more than anything else now. I feel that having a home – somewhere to feel warm and safe and protected – is a basic human right.
“Over the last decade, everything has got so much harder for people who are less well-off than others. I live near the city centre in Nottingham and see evidence of homelessness all the time. I find it heart-breaking that people go unnoticed.
“A little while ago, I’d been thinking I ought to make a Will, but I wasn’t sure where to start. A friend said I could go through a charity.
“I contacted Crisis and they referred me to Farewill. It was all very straightforward. I pay a £10 annual subscription, which is optional, and I can make updates in future if I need to. When I made my Will I included a small gift to Crisis, as I believe they’ll put it to good use.”
